Location: Must sit onsite in Round RockThe Site Reliability Engineer is an experienced and motivated technologist, who possesses a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills.The right individual will demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business, create technical definitions around customer objectives in complex situations, develop solution strategies, motivate and mobilize resources, and deliver results.A seasoned full-stack engineer with extensive experience with DevOps, someone who has the intellectual curiosity to pursue the unknown and to continuously improve.An ideal candidate would be someone who has embraced automation and has leveraged metrics and logging to improve products and processes with the ultimate goal of building self-healing solutions.The candidate must demonstrate a solid understanding of Network, Server, and Database engineering which is a key to understand what it means to have a high-level platform availability and peak performance.On a daily basis they will work with both the development and operations teams to implement creative solutions for monitoring a variety of complex systems.7+ years experience working on delivering and operating as DevOps/Operations Engineerhands on experience working on C#, ASP.NET, AngularJS, Python, Shell ScriptingDeep understanding of production systems design concepts including Reliability, Security, High Availability, and Disaster RecoveryExperience using/implementing CI/CD frameworks.Application deployment (GIT, Jenkins, Composer, Team city, Octopus).Knowledge of containerizationExperience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Mesos/Marathon)Understanding of message queuing systems and protocolsComfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional bordersStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to debug scripts/code and identify environmental issuesAn understanding of fundamental technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNSAdvanced hands-on experience with Splunk a mustAdvanced monitoring and alerting skills required7+ years experience working on delivering and operating as DevOps/Operations Engineerhands on experience working on C#, ASP.NET, AngularJS, Python, Shell ScriptingDeep understanding of production systems design concepts including Reliability, Security, High Availability, and Disaster RecoveryExperience using/implementing CI/CD frameworks.Application deployment (GIT, Jenkins, Composer, Team city, Octopus).Knowledge of containerizationExperience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Mesos/Marathon)Understanding of message queuing systems and protocolsComfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional bordersStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to debug scripts/code and identify environmental issuesAn understanding of fundamental technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNSAdvanced hands-on experience with Splunk a mustAdvanced monitoring and alerting skills requiredWork Environment:Individual will be part of a global team which utilizes a follow the sun model.He/she will work closely with counterparts in different geographical regions .
