Information Systems Architect
Experis/ManpowerGroup is seeking an Information Systems Architect to use information systems architecture experience for initial or redesign of systems. The Information Systems Architect will define product requirements and create high level architectural specifications. He / she will work under minimal direction and function in advanced specialty disciplines such as, but not limited to, information security, privacy, and information assurance, assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering, legacy evolution, or system infrastructure. Ensure feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems or software.
Lead and manage information technology projects in a complex environment.
Lead and coordinate the design, development, implementation, and support of business and/or technical information technology solutions encompassing multiple specialization, platforms, and technologies.
Define project scope, plan, and deliver cost projections and proposed implementation dates.
Assist leadership in determining technical direction of the organization.
Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new technologies, standard processes, tools, and techniques.
Create portions of information technology plans based on an understanding of the customer's organizational strategic direction, technology context and business needs.
Coach and provide technical leadership to others on the application of new technologies, appropriate project management and system development methodologies.
Provide technical support for marketing initiatives through participation in proposals and marketing studies.
Review other system and programming designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technologies.
Identify, develop, update, and enforce standards and procedures.
Monitor and ensure resolutions of performance issues.
Interface and support groups with production issues, technical concerns, and financial issues.
Research and evaluate to stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
Apply technical knowledge to assist clients in the design and development of solutions to complex technical engineering and applications problems, network challenges, or system administration issues.
Establish the basic structure of the system, define essential core design features, and elements that provide the framework.
Incorporate engineering strategies for introducing new technology into the customer's infrastructure related to its business processes of collection, analysis, production, and dissemination.
Perform cost-benefit analysis to determine whether requirements are best met by manual software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components.
Skills:
Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
Apply practical experience and training in software engineering environment.
Strong programming knowledge.
Advanced knowledge of systems design tools.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or a similar technical field.
