Software Sales Consultant

Location: Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin

70% Travel

Salary Range: $90-$120 K No Commissions

5 years of sales experience (Minimum 2-3 years' experience in selling enterprise software) such as ERP, MES, MRP, SCADA solutions.

Ability and experience selling at all levels

Consultative solutions selling style and attention for details

Strong lead generation mentality

Passionate, articulate, mature, sales hunter with strong interpersonal skills

70% travel in the region & abroad

A self-starter, leader in making and ambitious

Nice to Have:

Food industry background

MES (Manufacturing Execution System) sales experience in food industry

The role calls for the upselling of Client software licenses, related software services and securing renewal on Client Life Cycle Support Agreements:



  • Build strong and long lasting relationships with relevant key stakeholders in software procurement with a number of selected Client accounts (often on C-level)
  • Secure the selected Client accounts are fully aware of the entire Client Food Processing software offering
  • Work as a trusted partner to our customers on strategic software discussions, planning and budgeting
  • Secure Client Life Cycle Support Agreements are renewed year-on-year in close corporation with the Client Customer Care Manager Teams
  • Work closely and in coordination with the Client sales and service network to secure good alignment on account planning and activities
  • Take the lead on Client MES sales opportunities on new potential accounts in the region when applicable and in agreement with Client Industry Sales team
  • Assist and support Client sales network on larger Client software sales opportunities
  • Meet personal and team targets
  • Provide market intelligence on new trends and market developments to Client Product Management
  • Work closely with Client service team to secure high customer satisfaction
  • Able to commit to extensive travel within assigned sales territory (40-70%)

The work is carried out jointly with the Territory Sales Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Industry Sales Managers, Customer Care Managers, Client Product Managers and the Client Product Specialists.
