Responsible for all maintenance work on equipment, buildings, Control systems, Electrical systems and all utilities at the Site. This includes both repair work and modifications / improvements. This entails a wide range of production lines and other equipment and buildings.
Proactively plan all these activities; constantly look for rebalancing priorities in close co-operation with the supply chain and production manager.
Organize the work for the team and follow-up on the progress and quality of the work.
Make sure that the maintenance department is managed to achieving excellence by means of the KPIs. Jobholder must remain adaptable to flex with changing organizational conditions to modify these KPI as needed.
Establish and maintain all legal and company required technical documentation for equipment, buildings and utilities. That includes all as built documentation such as P&IDs, equipment, MCC, instrumentation etc., as well as maintain back-ups for all Process Control (including DCS/PLC) Software and systems.
Implement and manage a preventive maintenance program for all equipment, buildings and utilities on-site in accordance with PSM programs and common practices.
Maintain technical EHS standards and ensuring that all work undertaken is in line with these standards, as well as with the requirements of ISO 9001 while maintaining cost effectiveness.
Responsible for timely carrying-out maintenance schedules and the fluent completion of work orders to the satisfaction of internal customers. They will also assist all Departmental Managers to control maintenance costs in their areas.
Primary contractor co-coordinator for the company and as such responsible for all activities of contract companies on the site.
Oversee the site process to enter purchase requisition, receive goods, request work from contractors, amongst other administrative tasks involving MRO and contractor services.
Ensure all activities within the maintenance area follow regulatory and company standards in close co-operation with the EHS Manager.
Ensure all team members are executing function while performing 100% safe behaviors, this includes the supervision of all contractors on site.
A very important deliverable is enhancing knowledge of automation / process control systems because the site has been built in the recent past and the processes are automated.
A cultural change towards a more independently reliable operation on all levels should be induced in close co-operation with the Production Manager. This entails setting up Continuous Improvement Teams and implementing a Performance Management System for all associates.
Ensure HR activities for their part of the Ringwood personnel, within their domain of responsibility, are compliant with regulatory and company standards. As part of the Corporate Guidelines, this entails the implementation of Performance Management and a comprehensive training program meeting the legal requirements on EHS, quality and efficiency for all associates.
Responsible for all HR aspects in their area including motivation of associates, (disciplinary) follow-up on specific problems etc. They will also ensure that the manpower planning allows for carrying out planned and unplanned (maintenance) activities, constantly adapting priorities to the changing needs. Furthermore, the job holder will ensure that education and balance within the team will be in line with the mid long-term requirements of the plant.
In close co-operation with the HR Manager, they will ensure that organizational or individual problems/requests are being dealt with professionally and if possible, pro-actively.
Issue monthly reports including relevant conclusions, and recommendations for investment / improvement.
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or other technical degree with 5 years of experience in the chemical or plastics manufacturing industry.
Demonstrated track record of Reliability Management in the chemical or plastics manufacturing industry.
