Role: Logistics/Transportation Coordinator
Location: Dublin, VA 24084
Duration: 12 months (High Possible Extension or Conversion to Fulltime)
The Transport Customer Service Specialist performs their work in the North America Transport Material team as the operational support team within Production Logistics North American Transport Operations. You'll be expected to apply your knowledge across the full spectrum of our supply chain by being the integrated link between our customers, our transport service providers and material suppliers providing efficient, cost effective transportation solutions.
Monitoring the booking, pickup, transport, and delivery of material through the ATLAS transport management system
Reacting & resolving swiftly to all issues that arise within the transport network, from a carrier, supplier or a customer
Swift & accurate communication to all inquiries/requests coming into the Customer Service Team
Record and analyze deviations to our transport process to include proactive suggested preventative actions
Working with a mindset of "Continuous Improvements" at all times
Action oriented: Full of energy for challenges, takes a proactive approach to problem solving
Customer focus: Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and colleaguesand gains their trust and respect

Qualifications:Education Minimum Requirement: * Bachelor's degree in a Science discipline (biology, chemistry, engineering, other) or related scientific field and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in Manufacturing, Maintenance or Military environments or an associates degree and a minimum of five (5) years' experience in Manufacturing, Maintenance or Military environments. Required Experience and Skills: * Strong verbal and written communication skills, team skills, personal character, and ethics * Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to problem solving, with a bias towards going to see problems for oneself in the field Preferred Experience and Skills: * Demonstrated verbal/written communication and decision making skills * Experience with GMP/compliance requirements for food or pharmaceutical industry; technical writing skills; understanding of computer system SAP and Office products; basic statistical understanding; vaccines processing experience Hours of Work: These positions work a 12-hour shift rotation, (rotating shifts include all hours of the day and all days of the week/weekends) requiring some Overtime and working on some Holidays as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business or 3 year of Production / Manufacturing / Logistics experience.

Utilize Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system capabilities to optimize the overall transport network cost and improve the delivery precision.
Monitor and review international/regional transport flows in order to find optimal scenarios evaluating parameters such as mode, route, frequency, lead time, volume, filling degree, CO2 emission, capital tied up, seeking right total cost and most efficient lead time in cooperation with very diverse Business Partners.
Secure stabilized network following Production Program fluctuations, act for new scenarios to come avoiding extra transport costs.
Balance volumes at cross docks and production plants.
Support with landed cost calculation in sourcing investigations and projects in different internal forums following cost calculation global principles.
Deliver and report Transport Cost Savings and Cost Avoidance.
Coordinate with Material Controllers at the plants to optimize planning parameters such as MOQ, shipping frequency, transit times and other MRP parameters.
Support logistics Sourcing Projects with market knowledge and by delivering documentations securing timely and correct handovers to line organization and logistics providers.
Support new input implementations cases by securing timely and correct information to line organization and logistics providers.
Support carrier performance tracking and be the voice of customer.
