Jr. Project Manager (Intern)

As a Jr. Project Manager, you will be focused on managing projects consisting of customized solutions for our top customers. This is a highly visible position working with cross-functional teams including, sales, engineering, product management and quality.
Position Responsibilities (include but not limited to the following):
Manage the process for multiple current product modification projects, involving a combination of the following:
o Organize regular cross-functional team meetings and providing meeting minutes/updates to team and management
Provide leadership to cross-functional teams at junior level
Within individual's area of responsibility, consistently identifies potential project problems or opportunities in a proactive manner, analyzes the issues using all appropriate resources, develops alternatives and arrives at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
o Manage changing project deliverables and deadlines
o Owning projects: Must be comfortable being the point person for regular project status updates including updating sales team
o Works under the supervision of Sr. Product Manager in collaboration with Project Manager and Engineering Leads.
Minimum Requirements:
Ideal candidate should be extremely organized, goal oriented and a self-starter
Ideal candidate should be comfortable managing multiple projects at one time.
Demonstrable experience with project management your ability to help guide individuals and teams to solutions and accurately document projects to completion is critical
Ideal candidate should possess a mix of creative energy and the discipline to see highly customized projects to completiona demonstrated can do attitude
Powerpoint, Excel and Word required.
Ability to travel from home office in Willoughby to Mentor for meetings
Basic understanding of mechanical constructions not afraid of semi-technical terms and concepts

Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
