Payroll Processor Job Description: **CTH. 60+ Day Extendable**
High School diploma (Associates degree preferred) with a minimum of three years full service payroll experience, payroll processing experience required.
Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, memos and to ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ensures all Union employees have the proper benefits based on their Local Union designation and the CBA.
Reviews and corrects errors to ensure that employees/unions are whole to avoid penalties and union grievances.
Prepares monthly funding reports for each local to report employee benefit amounts.
Requests checks for funding from Accounts Payable and provides to Local Unions with funding reports prior to the deadlines each month to avoid penalties.
Reviews and responds to monthly general ledger reconciliation spreadsheets prepared by Finance/Accounting to ensure balanced entries between what was withheld from the employee and what was paid to the locals.
Assists with Local Audits as necessary.
