POSITION: QC Associate II LOCATION: Durham, NC TYPE: One Year Contract +SHIFT: 1st Shift (7:00AM - 5:30PM) Sunday - WednesdaySUMMARY: *The QC Associate II level analyst performs high throughput, right-first-time laboratory work to meet production schedules and project milestones. *They are expected to follow procedures and have familiarity and proficiency with a wide variety of microbiological methods and supporting data management processes. *Microbiological disciplines common to the laboratory include, but are not limited to: aseptic technique, bioburden testing (membrane filtration), endotoxin determination (kinetic chromogenic, gel clot), environmental and clean utility monitoring, Gram staining, and culture purity testing. *The ideal candidate also has experience with automated and/or rapid microbiological methods.
RESPONSIBILITIES: *Informs/consults with management regarding resource conflicts.*Responsible for a broad range of laboratory support functions and procedures as assigned, demonstrating expertise in technical skills, disciplines, and procedures within assigned discipline area(s)*Support all necessary laboratory and assay functions, including housekeeping, safety, logbook use and maintenance, equipment use and maintenance, method execution and data review.*Embrace lean lab and six sigma principles and applies them to laboratory processes*Reviews technical data and provides expert review and input to new methods and revisions.*Notifies management and initiates events (such as deviations) in the quality systems*Prioritizes and organizes work to deliver assignment according to established schedules and deadlines.

Utilize Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system capabilities to optimize the overall transport network cost and improve the delivery precision.
Monitor and review international/regional transport flows in order to find optimal scenarios evaluating parameters such as mode, route, frequency, lead time, volume, filling degree, CO2 emission, capital tied up, seeking right total cost and most efficient lead time in cooperation with very diverse Business Partners.
Secure stabilized network following Production Program fluctuations, act for new scenarios to come avoiding extra transport costs.
Balance volumes at cross docks and production plants.
Support with landed cost calculation in sourcing investigations and projects in different internal forums following cost calculation global principles.
Deliver and report Transport Cost Savings and Cost Avoidance.
Coordinate with Material Controllers at the plants to optimize planning parameters such as MOQ, shipping frequency, transit times and other MRP parameters.
Support logistics Sourcing Projects with market knowledge and by delivering documentations securing timely and correct handovers to line organization and logistics providers.
Support new input implementations cases by securing timely and correct information to line organization and logistics providers.
Support carrier performance tracking and be the voice of customer.
