Critical Environment Lead Operating Engineer in Fort Worth.
This position will have responsibilities for the critical infrastructure supporting data center space, and will be responsible to implement and already established Critical Environment program into the Fort Worth location.
A strong background in developing and maintaining a Subject Matter Expert program, creating and building a site procedure library, site specific training program, and writing and reviewing detailed MOPs and Change Management Process is preferred.
This candidate must understand and be able to evaluate risk with the Critical Environment, and work tirelessly to identify and mitigate those risks.
This person will have direct responsibility for the operation and Preventative Maintenance program of the critical infrastructure, and will support capital projects around it.
This position will have two direct reports.
This position is day shift with the willingness to be on-call for emergencies and/or to support special projects.
Responsible for the day to day engineering activities as well as administrative and strategic support for corporate properties. Must possess a strong ability to act independently and make critical decisions as required. Candidate will achieve successful results by administering critical engineering support services on a corporate level and providing assistance to internal and external customers. This position is required to manage and support all critical engineering and environmental support functions including all mission critical and data center operations, 24/7 staffing support and emergency response functions, risk assessment, as well as engineering support for an office building environment. A strong background in team building, employee management and effective communications is required.
Duties and responsibilities:
Develop, manage, implement and document all preventative maintenance (PM) programs for all critical and non-critical operation to include water treatment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
Assist in the development of specifications for work generally outsourced to vendors.
Perform on call and after hours support functions
Thorough knowledge of advanced plant operations and/or repairs for a wide variety of support systems including HVAC, pneumatic/DDC controls, and electrical plant operation.
Support critical facility manager and others as required with high level engineering management tasks and activities
Manage the activities of engineering staff assigned to support the assigned facilities. Candidate will be assigned his own PMs and Work Orders and be willing to get his hands dirty.
Responsible for supervisory actions to include: Appraising/evaluating employee performance, monitoring workloads, assigning and scheduling work and assessing training and development needs of employees
Possess strong knowledge of construction practices and equipment installations
Possess a thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, BAS and fire life safety systems
Possess a good understanding of critical and non-critical facility standards and processes to include change management, method of procedures, work order systems and management, safety/hazard awareness, risk, and environmental assessments.
Thorough understanding of all engineering practices including, but not limited to design specifications, highly analytical reports, technical manuals.
Thorough knowledge in all areas of engineering to insure that all strategic and contingency planning processes meet standards
Ability to utilize advanced PC software including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation programs
