Experis is seeking a Compensation Analyst that will be responsible for the day to day operations within the compensation and payroll functions of a large Utilities company located in Bridgewater, NJ. The Compensation Analyst is responsible for assisting with the salary administration process, determining relative market value for new jobs, actively participating in compensation program development.


  • Responsible for the administration of base pay structures for all US sites
  • Conduct wage benchmarks within labor market to determine competitive wage rates
  • Support HR Business Partners in creating, reviewing, and updating job descriptions
  • Provide compensation expertise to HR Business Partners, managers and executives
  • Act as subject matter expert in respect to classifying employees for overtime eligibility under the Fair Labors Standards Act. Provide training and guidance to HR team and managers on subject
  • Evaluate and provide recommendation to pay actions (starting salaries, pay increases, equity adjustment, etc.) as needed
  • Maintain web-based application data for salary planning and base pay administration and provide support to all system users
  • Generate all compensation communications (merit letters, incentive target/payout letters, etc.)
  • Generate periodic and ad-hoc HR reports from HRIS and/or other systems
  • Support the administration of the sales and management incentive plans including calculating targets, performance, and payout
  • Document compensation-related processes in the company's portal

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • 3+ years of Compensation experience in a $100 million or larger corporate environment
  • Experience in implementing base pay structures
  • Experience in managing variable pay structures
  • Experience in salary survey participation
