Capex Project Coordinator - Yamhill County, OR - Relocation is offered
This position is primarily responsible for providing technical and engineering expertise in a project management position in the division, involving a substantial commitment of company resources and time. The Senior Project Coordinator reports to the Senior Engineering Manager. This position requires knowledge of the equipment, technologies, terminology, and practices related to Engineering. This position requires to be familiar with steel mill operations as well as construction requirements and limitations and will be exposed to all aspects of mill operations, to include business management techniques, budgetary and accounting responsibilities, as well as interpersonal and supervisory skills training development programs. Due to close contact with operating management and personnel, outside contractors and vendors, the position requires good interpersonal relationship, the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of personalities and interests and make appropriate recommendations regarding the selection and purchase of materials, services and equipment for use in the projects. This position requires to supervise interdisciplinary teams including the personnel who coordinate all installation and construction projects in the mill, and subcontractors related to projects, assuring compliance to specifications, regulations, codes, safety requirements and permits pertaining to or issued to the division. Is responsible for determining personnel needs, selecting applicants, training new employees and follow-up of all work performed.
