This critical position will focus on creating innovative designs consisting of sheet metal, machined, welded, and purchased components. Additionally, provide engineering support to manufacturing operations and determine process improvements to existing products.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:
Ability to produce quality parts that meet company/customer specifications.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow standardized work procedures.
Record daily production and scrap in ERP system.
Ability to read and comprehend detailed work instructions, blueprints, and/or drawings.
Ability to follow daily schedules and meet production goals.
Follow industry and company policies, procedures and safety standards at all times.
Effectively communicates any issues affecting production to the team lead or supervisor
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs. Activities include lifting, stooping, twisting and bending on a regular basis.
Set up, adjust, and operate a press brake to perform a wide variety of operations.
Properly change tooling, ram position, ram speed and backstop position as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
Have basic math skills, i.e. be able to count, subtract, multiply and divide
Have basic computer skills
Have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors.
Be able to lift up to 20 lbs on a regular basis. Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
High School Diploma or GED
Proficiency with hand tools.
Ability to properly set up and operate Brake Press
Working knowledge of calipers, micrometers, and tape measures, etc.
Able to communicate well with others.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Great attention to detail.
