A Privately held company under third generation ownership with locations in NY, FL, NJ and PA, is seeking a to fill the role of Architectural Walls Sales Rep in the Sales department of their NY location.
Architectural Wall Sales Rep will be responsible for generating sales leads and building on leads from existing institutional clients. The position will be a part of our existing Walls department and will be responsible for working with clients, architects, designers, general contractors and outside consultants to propose comprehensive Wall solutions. This individual will develop long and short-term sales plans, establish strong working relationships with both Architectural & Interior Design Firms, as well as General Contractors and sub-contractors. This role requires a strong will to learn and develop new products. Strong customer relationship and presentation skills will also be expected and following up to make sure that we meet and exceed the customer's expectation of Delivering Perfect.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience selling movable or demountable wall systems and/or industrial partitions. The ability to understand the construction environment to include a competency in reading building plans, layouts, and specifications is required. Existing relationships with architects and designers will be extremely helpful.
Salary: Sales salary base with a commission on sales (DOE)
General outline:
➢ Someone with experience working for a wall manufacturer and/or a dealer with 5+ years' experience in walls.

➢ Able to work with GC's as well as design firms (of the 2 design firms are more important as our existing person has a good handle on the GCs)

➢ Able to work in a team environment but will be motivated by growing their own sales

➢ Base salary plus commission

➢ 4 year degree

➢ Good presentation skills

➢ Good interpersonal skills ➢ Good with sales strategy

➢ Full benefits after 60 days following 1st of the month. 401K, AFLAC, during 1st of the year. Employment contingent on background screen.
