Role - Application Support/Systems Analyst
Job Comments / Overview:
Medicine and Occupational Health IT Systems group is a support group that maintains and oversees many IT related activities. Medicine and Occupational Health consists of ~50 occupational health clinics worldwide. On top of occupational health duties ranging from business travel to worker health care aspects, Medicine and Occupational Health also provides Industrial Hygiene, Drug and Alcohol programs, and the Infectious Disease Control units for global ExxonMobil services serving ~80000 potential customers.
The main technologies in scope for the IT Systems group include support and maintenance related to the strategic Cority enterprise health application, SharePoint technologies, Intranet sites, and smaller database and legacy applications. The mission of the IT Systems group is to maintain excellent base support, deliver value via projects, and leverage available technologies that will align strategically with the corporation.
The IT Systems team is a very visible and integral part of the larger Medicine and Occupational Health organization. With that, customer service skillsets are a must while maintaining timely resolution to ensure the business critical processes are working accordingly. When not directly interfacing with customers, the responsibilities include updating documentation, seeking efficiencies, knowledge sharing, and completing any required trainings in a timely fashion.
Perform level 1 thorough level 3 application support for the Summit (Medicine and Occupational Healths enterprise health application) developed by Cority (hosted inside ExxonMobil)
Perform comprehensive troubleshooting and maintenance as prescribed by core processes in relation to the Summit application (data imports, jobs, scripts, ect,)
Deliver legacy database and macro support using Microsoft Access and VBA related technologies
Document troubleshooting steps applied in ticketing system
Monitor ticket closeout in a timely fashion
Liaison with various other IT related groups for support ranging from middleware, SCOM/Monitoring, etc.
Work also includes change, incident, and problem management to troubleshoot outages, lead root cause investigations, and lead change implementation
Document and share best practices, processes, and improvements
Project and small work item lead when / if required
Potential for afterhours and weekend support as needed
Required: 5+ years prior experience in IT application support or type roles such as design, development, and implementation of web and client/server applications
Nice to have: 1+ year prior experience in a helpdesk or customer service related field
Strong understanding of the following skillsets
Windows server and client operating systems
Application Lifecycle Management
Database support (Oracle, SQL Server)
Database languages (SQL scripting, Access)
Toolkits (Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual Studio, .NET)
Active Directory (and related tools/features)
IT Ticketing mechanism
