Seeking to fill a DIRECT HIRE, Ammonia System Technician position with a world-renown organization that has a facility based on the East end of Louisville. This organization provides the following:
Low turnover on Maintenance Staff. Positions are open due to retirements.
Starting wage of no less than $28.00/hr. Annual raises!

  • On a shift schedule now. Off shift positions available. Soon to move to a 6 pm - 6 am, 2-2-3 schedule.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the maintenance of all refrigeration equipment in the facility, reporting to the PSM/Maintenance Manager. Preferred candidate should have 2 years' experience in ammonia refrigeration or related HVAC refrigeration. Training through any technical school or college must be documented. Basic computer and electrical troubleshooting skills are also required. Knowledge of IIAR.RETA and PSM guidelines a plus.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
Ensure all refrigeration systems are regularly monitored and properly logged on the "daily rounds" sheet.
Basic knowledge of the 14 PSM elements
Ability to read and comprehend the SOP's of all refrigeration equipment.
Ability to interpret and make needed corrections to P&ID drawings.
Periodically inspect all ammonia piping for failed insulation/vapor barrier, rust and corrosion.
