Active Directory Engineer / Architect

Our client to the north of Houston is seeking a Directory Services Engineer /Architect to provide architecture support, as well as subject matter expertise from technical and operational aspects for all matters related to Directory Services: Active Directory, DNS, Identity and Access Management, Azure AD, O365, systems and networks.

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 6 to 12 months

Role is expected to be 60% operations, 30% project involvement/solution architect, 10% administration.

Required Skills and Knowledge Include:

  • Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs
  • Expert understanding of Microsoft's Active Directory (AD 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016), LDAP, Kerberos, and Domain Name System
  • Strong depth of knowledge of SaaS integrations with Active Directory, through Identity Provider (IdP) such as OKTA, Azure AD for federated login, single sign-on and provisioning of accounts
  • Expert understanding and experience in managing/solutioning Azure AD Premium implementation, including but not limited to account authentication and synchronization, single-sign-on, provisioning/de-provisioning, conditional access, multi-factor authentication settings and configurations, Azure AD Join
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management, including but not limited to joiner/leaver processes, account provisioning/deprovisioning, groups membership and GPOs review, integration workflow design/solutioning between Active Directory with other applications
  • Strong understanding of the technical landscape, process and tools relating to user, identity and access management in Active Directory
  • Experience in managing and supporting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Experience with: Quest/One Identity toolsets such as ActiveRoles Server (ARS), InTrust, Enterprise Reporter, TPAM, Change Auditor, knowledge about DNS, DHCP (InfoBlox), Microsoft PKI

Work Hours:

  • Typically regular work hours, US timezone
  • Must participate in conference calls/meetings outside of regular work hours, during Asia Pacific and Europe timezones (US evening/night, 2-3 times a week)
  • May be required to work outside of regular hours to resolve significant issues
