This position will be responsible for the Total Receivable Management of a specific/defined Customer Portfolio exercising discretion & independent judgment with respect to matters of significance to include unpaid balances, outstanding invoices, return product resolution, various chargeback issues (if any), short pays, credit holds, Total Management of the Credit Master File and a variety of existing issues.
Decision making in this position requires a full understanding of each issue, product pricing, limitations and promotions, contract terms and conditions, and our company policies and procedures.
The Credit Services Analyst is required to propose alternative payment solutions for our customers such as prepayment and / or negotiate a schedule of periodic payments on account. Pursuant to this, the Credit Services Analyst must determine if the order(s) are to be held, pending payment / resolution or propose other payment alternatives, write-off versus third party collections, allow the customer to exceed their credit limit or to ultimately release the customers order(s).
The Credit Services Analyst is required to prioritize their collections, by value and aging of the receivables. Familiarity with their assigned accounts / divisions will also help to determine their collection cycle.
The Credit Services Analyst must be able to evaluate the tradeoff between assertive collection techniques and the need to accommodate unusual customer circumstances by writing-off non-collectible invoices and debits. These decisions are to protect Sanofi Pasteur assets in accounts receivable versus maintenance of good customer relations.
