Networking and marketing responsibilities is crucial for A&D role. We view this area as essential, however it must be appropriately balanced and focused to achieve the best results. Name recognition, educating the market, identification of upcoming projects, and stay front of mine for both the designers and the manufacturer team will generate new leads. Ideally, it also affords the opportunity to develop stronger relationships with individuals that become advocates for you in the future.
We want you to have a reasonable list of primary and secondary target firms to cover which would include events, breakfast/lunch and learns with manufacturers, and other engagements. We are open to discussion on best targets and tactics to get the most us of these activities and this will evolve over time. Having engaged in this in large scale in the past we have experience and insight into what has worked and understand the potential for rapid improvement in current coverage. You would see results quickly and be able to tailor this to your own style.
We have a web-based CRM tool for all A&D/Sales to track active opportunities and organize activities and next steps, track actual results, forecast sales, and automate our email marketing campaigns while continuously adding new contacts. Our CRM was selected due to ease of use and its visual nature which makes it simple to manage your workload.
We want you to build your network and pipeline of incoming projects, maintain a good balance of project/long term account and small/medium/large projects, and focus on the key relationships that produce noncompetitive project business.
