Engineer Manager
Location: Chandler, AZ
Summary of Position Responsibilities:

The Engineer Manager is responsible for serving as the leader and technical expert to the professional engineers, architects and licensed staff. The Engineer Manager will oversee various projects, answer technical questions, propose budgets for projects, and work with other departments across multiple disciplines. They will play a key role in the overall success of our organization by planning, managing and monitoring the technical professional staff. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Serve as the engineering leader and technical expert.
Manage and mentor the professional engineers and architects and licensed technical staff to ensure all projects meet schedules and client requirements day-to-day.
Train and oversee the day-to-day activities of each professional engineer and architects and licensed team member to ensure industry and company standards are maintained in the creation of content or deliverables.
Keep management regularly informed by analyzing and generating reports for the profitability of all projects, employee morale, clients feedback and growth.
Collaborate with the team members and provide clear consistent communication and direction across all disciplines (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, etc.).
Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by the professional engineers, architects and licensed technical staff.
Conduct various tests and quality assurance checks to verify the quality of completed projects.
Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs.
Hire, train and mentor professional staff.
Interface with existing clients in an effort to maintain healthy relationships and to procure new work.
Communicate with new potential clients to promote the business and procure new work.
Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of professional technical staff. This includes being proficient in estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
Setup and maintain schedules and budgets.
Remain cost conscious and aware of every aspect of each project at all times.
Develop standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed by the professional staff.
Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients or be able to engage consultants to support.
Set engineering and technical goals within the broad outlines provided by top management.
Direct, review, and approve project design and changes if necessary.
Create detailed engineering plans, processes, and procedures for engineering staff to use and abide by.
Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff.

Minimum Requirements:
Licensed Engineer - active PE. in Arizona is required!!
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in engineering or other related field.
Masters degree in engineering or other related field is preferred.
A minimum of 15 years of related experience including working in engineering and in an engineering managerial role is required.
Proficient in AutoCAD or Revit, Navisworks, Microsoft Office suite, office software packages and high adaptability to learning new software and technology.
Professionally perform multiple, detailed-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
Able to work well in a group setting, as well as an individual with minimal supervision.
Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a team.
Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.
Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience.
Ability to work both individually and with a team, take direction and go beyond your job description when needed.
Demonstrate solid writing and organization skills.
Possess strong problem-solving skills, work ethic and integrity.
Understanding the importance of excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
