The A&E Manager will be responsible for managing the A&E side both internal staff and external clients and vendors -- on projects, on the Construction Drawings portion of projects (reviewing, redlining, comparing project scope to drawings, handling Site Audits, etc).
Responsible for reviewing A&E drawings, tracking project deliverables, dates and monitoring deadlines; provides regular and timely reports highlighting variances as they arise.
Project manage A&E drawings, responsible for the management of multiple customers jobs and ensure projects are completed according to mutually agreed upon timeline, policies and procedures.
Responsible for the management and coordination of team members in obtaining and maintaining all documents related to modification, collocation and construction of towers.
Updates necessary tracking system(s) to ensure that project and/or program status is maintained with complete accuracy.
Coordinates all tasks related to A&E.
Review and upload drawings. Provide data entry to support management ensuring accurate tracking of projects.
Creates and distributes correspondence relevant to A&E.
Coordinate and expedite drawing production, including: pricing/contracting with A&E vendors, quality control initial drawings, coordinating with carrier, QC initial drawings, managing changes/revisions, and ensuring construction drawings match accordingly
Validate consistency of drawing against structural analysis and application, ensuring that drawings and applications match in equipment, quantity, etc.
Assists with administrative preparation for various vendor meetings.
Develops and maintains accurate and complete files for projects and programs; continues to monitor for integrity and completeness.
Act as primary point of contact for A&E Drawings and vendor relationships.
Assign and Review work performed by CAD team members
Assist in training and coaching of CAD team members
Collaborate regularly with Director, Senior Project Engineers, Engineering Leads, and other A&E /Managers to improve, review, and expand current product line and processes.
Serve as Project Lead for essential clients including managing workflow and organizing CAD team members to meet team objectives.
Communicate effectively and interface with both internal and external Project Management teams as well as clients.
Two (2) to five (5) years of A&E, construction, drafting, design experience
One (1) to three (3) years of project management experience
Wireless industry experience
Knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management, asset management, tower design, mods, maintenance
Ability to read and understand blueprints along with and understanding of tower/roof top structural details
Ability to direct the diagnosis of work flow problems, critical paths and institute remedies
Ability to read and understand financial metrics and identify remedies to financial issues
Customer service orientation with a strong problem solving approach
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Ability to communicate across multiple service groups to both internal and external customers
Excellent communication skills; Strong negotiating skills will be acting as a liaison with A&E Firms to kick off projects
Ability to use AutoCAD
Ability to comprehend survey and construction drawings; Strong attention to detail when reviewing CDs and tracking redlines
