Required technical Skills: Initial setup and configuration of a various environments and using remote management tools.
Required attitude: enjoys working in a fast pace environment, enjoys challenge of learning as they build, must be able work with limited documentation.
Despite this role being with the training group the skills we don't require for this role are Technical Writing and Technical Instructor.
Works with Instructional Designers and subject matter experts to ensure that course lab activities material achieves desired learning outcomes.
Follows an established lab design model to ensure fluid training lab experiences for the student.
Works with technical SMEs
Ensures train-the-trainer sessions are conducted in a standardized, accurate, and level appropriate manner to ensure maximum learning and knowledge transfer and test trainer delivery capability within sessions. Works closely with stakeholders to continuously improve the effectiveness of the content.
Stays current in technical subjects in the area of their focus and best practices with learning lab environments.
Technical Training Lab Development Specialist
In-depth disciplinary knowledge; leverages business acumen and subject matter expertise.
Provides deep subject matter expertise, advice and program delivery.
Manages time and activities to ensure project is delivered on time. Develops innovative and creative training lab environments to ensure activities and interactions align to course objectives and student outcomes.
Anticipates operational, program, and implementation issues and develops preventative measures.
Develops complex interactive labs and learning applications using appropriate software packages.
Ensures that all training lab documentation is technically accurate.
Creates Training lab environment diagrams and documentation.
Authors and tests training lab step by step directions with images.
Actively participates in setting objectives for training lab outcomes to meet objectives.
Presents facts and information to negotiate mutually acceptable solutions.
Designs and builds training lab environments to ensure reliable and consistent performance and student experience.
