Application Support Analyst - I
Administration for IT Log Management infrastructure includes:
User account creation, permissions management and training support
Log Collection from Application hosts OS and middleware applications and Security devices
Log Management for device type formatting, parsing and indexing
Log Retention management, including data back-up and log forwarding (e.g SIEM tools)
Log Monitoring and reporting define/refine/manage alerts for infrastructure operations and log source systems. Format and automate log reporting for Security, Compliance and application owner / Device type owner views.
Rotating 24x7x365 operational support required.
IT Log Management is seeking a technical resource to support middleware application log management defining log source, defining formatting, parsing, indexing, tuning to retain only required events, developing reporting views for application owner user group. Microsoft Windows System Administration, preferably Windows 2008 and Oracle, Redhat, MS SQL / My SQL Middleware application expertise required. Linux/AIX/Solaris Administration and/or Log Management expertise preferred but not required.
Must have Log collection background with Splunk or LogLogic.
3+ YRS EXPERIENCE DESIRED with Linux/AIX/Solaris Administration and/or Log Management expertise
