Experis is seeking a Staff Accountant for a 4-6 month contract opportunity with a large Logistics firm located in Bridgewater, NJ. The consultant will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. Responsibilities include analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.
Obtain the acquired companys general ledger trail balance as of the closing date and compile all balance sheets supporting information. Insure the information is properly integrated to the general ledger.
With Assistance of Corporate Headquarters, participate in the due diligence phase of the acquisitions, working closely with the Technical Accounting Manager.
Devise an integration plan for all acquired companies and monitor plan closely throughout the transition of the various tasks to the Divisional Headquarters.
Supervise the companys cash and accounts receivable activity until the conversion of the companys billing system, collections function, and accounts payable processing to Iron Mountains Record Managements System.
All other integration items mentioned in the acquisitions checklist, which may include transition bank accounts, the coordinating of the filing the acquired final tax return, and determination of any undisclosed liabilities.
Prepare all journal entries and reconciliations related to the acquisitions

- Entry Level 2 plus years accounting experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with general ledger systems
