Currently Experis is actively hiring for an Affirmative Action & EEO Compliance Specialist/ Analyst role with an international pharmaceutical company in Abbott Park, IL for a 11 month contract. Below is the job description.

Responsible for assisting in the development, coordination and documentation of internal programs to ensure the hiring company is compliant with Federal, State and Local regulations (e.g., Equal Opportunity {EO}, affirmative Action {AA} and other regulatory obligations.) Requires ability to work collaboratively with team members and business leaders alike; must be able to work at a tactical level while maintaining a big-picture perspective.

  • Assist in the implementation of Affirmative Action Programs across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
  • Assist in managing compliance reviews by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP)
  • Aid in developing communication strategy and training programs regarding U.S. compliance and diversity progress.
  • Implement processes for data collection, auditing statistics and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Work with internal partners to ensure processes and systems within key organizations are developed with AA/EEO compliance and the business in mind.
  • Design presentations for Divisional Vice Presidents on Affirmative action.
  • Serve as a consultant to groups in matters regarding U.S. EEO/AA compliance.
  • Assist in the developing and in the coordination of external audit responses as needed.
  • Manage human resource initiatives, applicant tracking, Good faith efforts monitoring and special projects as well as research and recommend approaches as appropriate.


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in AA/EO Compliance role or 3 years in an administrative role serving HR or AA/EO function.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Microsoft Access a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence all levels of management.
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and multi-task
  • Proficient presentation skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recruiting/hiring practices
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Demonstrated general understanding of averages, ratios and statistics
  • Prefer experience dealing with OFCCP and/or Human Resources partners on EO/AA matters
  • Ability to be flexible and change directions when needed.
